Jeffrey Wetzel, Mad Catter Coffee Roasters

Before ever pulling a shot of espresso, Jeff Wetzel was on the ground—literally—picking and milling coffee. What began as a personal quest to understand coffee at its source quickly evolved into a deep appreciation for the craft and the people behind it. These early experiences became the foundation of Mad Catter Coffee Roasters. For Jeff, learning the "how" of coffee was only part of the equation. The "why" mattered just as much. From mastering the technical skills of roasting and brewing to managing the daily grind of café operations, Jeff committed himself to quality, consistency, and education. He believes that tools are only as good as the understanding behind them—and that sharing knowledge is key to building a better coffee culture. Roasting came naturally to Jeff, but he never took shortcuts. Each step in his journey has been driven by curiosity, experimentation, and a relentless pursuit of flavor. To him, the world of coffee is an ever-expanding hallway of discovery, and Mad Catter Coffee Roasters is the doorway through which others are invited to explore.
